Produced/consumed vs MSG for two Logix racks across a Stratix
The question
L85 producing a 500-byte UDT every 20 ms to a Compact on another switch. MSG would be slower and I could live with it. Produced connection count is the worry. What did you pick when the UDT grew, and did you multicast or unicast?

Unicast produced for two nodes. Multicast when many consumers actually need the same packet. If the UDT grew past what you need, split a small fast UDT from a slow recipe MSG. 500 bytes at 20 ms across a busy Stratix is how you buy a packet capture. Watch the connection count on both EN2Ts.
