TS Controls is an industrial automation integrator based in Anderson, South Carolina. We program, troubleshoot, and commission PLCs, HMIs, drives, and industrial robots at the plant, on the platform you already own. For plants in Greenville, Spartanburg, Greer, and the rest of the Upstate, that means a controls team close by that comes to the machine, looks at the actual problem, and works to your outage window.

A controls team that comes to the machine

Most controls problems don't make sense from a phone call or a screenshot. A rung that looks wrong in the program may be compensating for a worn sensor. A fault that "just started" may trace back to a network change made months ago. That's why our work starts with an on-site evaluation, so the first trip isn't a guessing trip. We look at the program, the hardware, the network, and how operators actually run the line, and then we come back with a plan.

Being based in Anderson means Upstate plants aren't waiting on a crew to fly in. We also work across the Southeast and nationwide, but the Upstate is home.

Platforms we program

Siemens. Step 5, STEP 7 / SIMATIC Manager, and TIA Portal. S7-1200 and S7-1500 controllers, WinCC HMIs, SINAMICS drives, and PROFINET networks. We carry licensing for current TIA Portal versions.

Allen-Bradley / Rockwell. PLC-5, SLC 500, ControlLogix, and CompactLogix in RSLogix and Studio 5000. FactoryTalk View HMIs, PowerFlex drives, and Kinetix motion.

Robots. KUKA, FANUC, and ABB, including offline programming in WorkVisual, ROBOGUIDE, and RobotStudio. When a cell has a PLC and robots from different vendors, one team handles both sides of the handshake.

Networks and I/O. EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, and DeviceNet. I/O design, panel checkout, and hybrid cells where old and new hardware share the same line.

Typical Upstate jobs

  • Logic changes for a new part, model, or station, tested before production depends on them
  • Troubleshooting intermittent faults, nuisance stops, and lost communication
  • HMI screen changes, alarm cleanup, and operator-requested improvements
  • Adding devices, drives, or remote I/O to an existing network
  • Commissioning support during an install or a line move
  • Recovering, documenting, and backing up programs nobody has touched in years
  • Planning a migration off PLC-5, SLC 500, Step 5, or S7-300 before a failed card forces it

Industries we work in

Our work is centered on automotive (body-in-white, press shop, hemming and roller cells, spot weld), EV production, and aerospace. The same skills apply to general manufacturing and process equipment. If your line runs on Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or a KUKA, FANUC, or ABB robot, we can help.

Plants we've supported include BMW Plant 10 and Robert Bosch LLC.

Areas we cover from Anderson

Greenville · Spartanburg · Greer · Anderson · Easley · Clemson · Simpsonville · Duncan · Gaffney · and the surrounding Upstate. Beyond the Upstate, we regularly travel across the Southeast auto corridor (the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee) and take on-site work nationwide.

How a job works

  1. Send the packet. The program or project archive, a short description of the symptom or the change, and your outage window. Our RFQ form accepts files up to 10 MB (zip project files first), and they go straight to sales.
  2. Evaluation. We review the files and, where it matters, look at the machine on-site before we commit to a plan.
  3. Plan and quote. You get a written scope sized to the job, not a padded day rate. We don't inflate scope, and safety isn't a line item we cut.
  4. On-site work. Scheduled around your outage window, including nights and weekends when that's when the line is available.
  5. Handover. Tested logic, updated backups, and notes your maintenance team can use the next time something changes.

Yes. We schedule field work around the outage window your plant can give, including nights, weekends, and holiday shutdowns.

Do you program Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or both?

Both. Siemens from Step 5 through TIA Portal and S7-1500, and Allen-Bradley from PLC-5 and SLC 500 through ControlLogix and CompactLogix in Studio 5000. We also program KUKA, FANUC, and ABB robots.

Can you work on legacy PLC-5, SLC 500, or Step 5 systems?

Yes. We support legacy platforms as they are, and we plan migrations to ControlLogix, CompactLogix, or S7-1500 when it is time to move.

What should I send with an RFQ?

The program or project archive, a short description of the problem or change, photos of the panel or rack if you have them, and your outage window. Zip project files and upload them with the RFQ form (up to 10 MB), or email sales@ts-controls.com.
