Dual-channel E-stop — channel 2 lags 40 ms and the safety PLC hates it
The question
GuardLogix, dual-channel E-stop string through three gates. Channel 2 is 40 ms behind channel 1. Discrepancy fault. New wiring looks identical. Is 40 ms a dirty contact, a long run, or a test pulse fighting an old relay?

40 ms is a lot for two contacts on the same button. Swap the button first. If it follows the wire, look for a snubber or a suppressed relay on one channel only. Test pulses from the safety input will nuisance-trip if one channel has extra capacitance. Don't widen the discrepancy time until the hardware is even.
