TIA Portal v19 license floating away mid-download
The question
Network license. Download starts, automation license manager loses the seat, Portal parks on 'waiting for license.' USB dongle on a colleague still works. Is this a VLAN, a firewall to the license server, or v19 being picky about the clock?

Clock skew of more than a couple minutes will drop a floating seat. NTP the engineering box to the same source as the license server. Also whitelist ALM ports both ways — a 'download' is a long borrow. We moved ALM off Wi-Fi. Guest VLAN DHCP renew was killing the lease every 30 minutes.
