PanelView 5500 vs 5310 for a new CompactLogix skid
The question
Studio 5000 View Designer looks fine in the demo. Support years from now is the question. 5310 is cheaper. What did you ship that you still want to look at in 2031?

If the customer already lives in FactoryTalk View ME, a Plus 7 is the boring winner. 5500 is fine for a tight Logix-only skid with View Designer faceplates. 5310 is a panel, not a strategy. Ask who will edit it in five years. If the answer is a maintenance laptop with ME, don't be clever.
