Interviewer asked how many I/O my last project had — what do they want?
The question
I said a few hundred. They do airport baggage and made a face. I can write AOIs. I cannot fake a 12,000-point job. How do you answer scale without lying, and is I/O count even the right measure?

I/O count is a lazy proxy. Talk about repeated equipment, AOIs, how you tested, how you split the job. Baggage is a lot of the same conveyor with a few unique transfers. Ask them how many unique machine types they have. Then talk about your error-proofing, not a number you made up.
