The question
New MQTT dashboard. IT's plan is to punch the CompactLogix onto the corp VLAN so Power BI can see it. I want a one-way edge. They want fewer boxes. What sentence actually worked with a CISO in the room?

The sentence is: the PLC is a machine, not a server, and write access from a business VLAN is an incident. Offer the edge box, broker outbound only, tag list as a contract. Bring a picture of a ransomware plant. Don't argue 'convenience.' Argue blast radius.
